Jen Psaki says this is no time to ‘attack the other party’ after Trump assassination attempt

Biden's former White House press secretary Jen Psaki was critical of individuals on Sunday who placed blame on President Biden and Democrats' repeated anti-Trump vitriol for leading up to the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, saying this is no time to "attack the other party." 

Psaki, who hosts "Inside with Jen Psaki" on MSNBC, criticized public figures for sharing examples of Democrats advocating for violence against Trump and his supporters. She then portrayed herself and her mainstream media colleagues as the victims, expressing concerns of "retaliation" over their past remarks that have been going viral across social media since the assassination attempt. 

"For anyone out there who has a platform who thinks the moment right now is to be political and attack the other party, you are feeding into the danger," said Psaki on NBC News' Meet The Press. "You are making it more likely there's retaliation. I'm incredibly scared. I'm scared for journalists. I'm scared for people who have public platforms of all parties." 

While Psaki denounced the "other side," she failed to denounce her own political party for their actions over the past several years, including referring to Trump as a "dictator" and comparing him and his supporters to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.
