More than a dozen congressional Democrats are planning to not attend President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration and others are still undecided, according to reports.
"For somebody who said he's going to lock me up, I don't see the excitement in going to see his inauguration," former Jan. 6 committee chair Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said in an exclusive interview with Axios.
Axios says that "a formal boycott is materializing as a first act of resistance against the incoming president."
According to the outlet, other Democrats who are not attending include Reps. Ilhan Omar, Minn., Adam Smith, Wash., and Delia Ramirez, Ill. They list 13 who will not attend, 20 who are undecided and 44 who are planning to be there.
Democratic lawmakers who plan to attend the inauguration include Rep. Becca Balint, Vt., and Sen. Jacky Rosen, Nev.
