Trump concerned for his family’s safety after assassination attempts

Former President Donald Trump said in an interview that aired Saturday that he is not only worried about the safety of his family after facing down two assassination attempts but also concerned about the safety of “everybody” in an America that is overrun with illegal immigrants.

Trump made the comments in an interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade and noted by The Daily Wire,  less than one week after the Sept. 15 attempted assassination in West Palm Beach and just over two months after he was shot in the ear while speaking before a rally in Butler, PA. When asked if he worries about his family’s safety given the dangers he and his campaign for president have encountered, Trump said, “I do. I do. I don’t talk about it, but I do. I have to worry about family. I have to worry about everybody. I worry about you.”

Trump said that the influx of illegal immigrants into the US over almost four years of the Biden-Harris administration has made life more dangerous for every American. “Look, we’re under siege and no country has ever suffered like we have for the last three-and-a-half, almost four years,” Trump said. “When they allow millions of people to come into our country, from prisons, right? From prisons. And terrorists, and people from mental institutions, and they take over our parks. Look at New York – you can’t play Little League baseball anymore.”
